How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will too, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during the offseason. It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For the Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.

North Goa –

Fort Aguada – This fort is located at a distance of about 18 kilometers from Panaji, the capital of Goa. The view of Aguada Fort is very attractive, it appears to overlook the confluence of the Arabian Sea and the Mandovi River. Aguada Fort was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century.
Dolphin Show – If you want to see dolphins here, then reach Palolem Beach, Coco Beach, Cavelossim Beach, Sinquerim Beach, Morjim Beach etc. in the morning.
Calangute Beach – Calangute Beach is located in a small town called Calangute in North Goa. It is also called Queen of the Beaches. It is the largest beach in North Goa and one of the larger beaches in Goa.
Baga Beach – Baga Beach is a popular tourist destination in North Goa. Baga town is situated on the seacoast starting from Sinquerim, Candolim and passing through Calangute which is contiguous to Baga. This beach is lined with huts and fishing boats, and the beach becomes narrow at high tide.
Anjuna Beach – Anjuna Beach is famous for its swaying palm trees, golden sand and strange rocks dotted with white sand. This beach is at a distance of about 18 km from Panaji. The flea market (Kabadi Market), held weekly every Wednesday, attracts a large number of tourists.

South Goa –

Old Goa Church – One of the most beautiful churches in Goa, this church is located near the Sea Cathedral in Old Goa. Its texture is very beautiful. It was built by Italian monks of the Theatine Order in 1665, after the founder of the Theatine Order. The founder of the ‘Order of Theatines’ was also a contemporary of St. Francis Xavier.
Mangeshi Temple – The Mangeshi temple built near Panaji, the capital of Goa, is dedicated to him. Here Lord Shiva is established in the form of Linga. Earlier this Shivalinga was in Kushasthali i.e. Kortalim in Goa, but due to the Portuguese invasion, the Saraswat Brahmins of Kaundinya and Vatsa Gotra shifted the Shivalinga.
Miramar Beach – Miramar is a beach area of the capital of Goa, Panaji, also known as Panaji and is one of the most visited beaches of Goa.
Dauna Paula Beach – This place is just a few kilometers away from the capital of Goa. If you are also planning a romantic tour with your life partner or your love, then ‘Dona Paula Beach’ is the best place for you. This place is called ‘lovers’ paradise’. This place is just 7 kilometers away from Panaji, the capital of Goa.
Panjim Market – The capital of Goa offers you a great shopping experience in its commercial markets. The venue is a balanced mix of old style shops and some of the latest malls. If you are planning to spend some long holidays in Goa, then a lot of things can be bought for yourself from this market.
Boat Cruise – This cruise takes you to the backwaters of the Mandovi River and note that it departs only once per day. It is a 1 hour tour in which you can see places which have been filmed in Bollywood movies.
